Galaxy Note 7

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 review

It is a few weeks to August and tech enthusiasts are waiting with bated breath for the new Samsung flagship from their phablet series, the Galaxy Note 7. This name, notably in line with the earlier released within the year of the S7 and the S7 Edge is intentional. This is what has seen the Note 6 skipped altogether. But with all the specs packed in the Note 7, nobody is complaining about the name. In fact, it is about time!

Display

Galaxy Note phones are known to be humongous and are more fondly referred to as phablets. This is no different with the Note 7. It will spot 5.7 inches which is quite sizeable. It features Super AMOLED display at an amazing resolution and a pixel density of about 515ppi which is guaranteed to give sharp images.

This is great for color clarity, movie watching and gaming. The design of the display is also different from the other predecessors in that the Note 7 has dual curved edges. This is quite a classy look, making it easier to grip the phone in palm and navigate. It is not yet clear whether Samsung will have a smooth surface variant for the Note 7.

To add to this, the Note 7 has a fingerprint sensor as well as an iris scanner making payments more secure. The redesigned s pen is also an added touch in the Note 7 and is guaranteed to enhance the user’s experience as well. To top it all off, the Note 7 is dust and waterproof making it easier to carry it around water as any accidents will not result in the drowning of the phablet.

Processor and other features

As was in the S7, the Note is rumored to have Qualcomm Snapdragon 823 processor which I the latest for android phones. The 6 GB RAM and 64 GB of internal memory are worth looking forward to. To make it better, the phablet still has microSD card support which means that one can have more memory on the device for storage of photos and other files.

The Note 7 has a 12 MP rear camera and a 5 MP front facing camera. This is a guarantee for high quality images with both cameras. The camera also holds up in low light as well. As for software, Note 7 has TouchWiz and Android Marshmallow 6.0. the user interface is quite pleasant and impressive.

Battery

Everyone knows that the battery capacity of any device is one of the selling points. Samsung kept this in mind as the Note 7 is rumored to have 4200, 4000 or 3600 mAh battery capacity. Each of these is quite impressive and is guaranteed to last the device the whole day. This eliminates the need to constantly charge the phablet. It also allows the users to have more screen time without worry that the device will run out of juice.

Conclusion

The Galaxy Note 7 presents itself as a force to be reckoned with. For anyone who is looking to buy a phablet, August draws nigh when the Note 7 shall be available for purchase.
